This 3 day course is held from Tuesday to Thursday with Monday and Friday as your travel and transfer days.
La Rochelle is located in the beautiful western coastline of the Charante. This popular town backs to the 10th century and still maintains its beautiful architecture, making it one of the most picturesque cities on the Atlantic coast.
La
Rochelle's main feature is the 'Vieux Pont' (Old Harbour) lined with seafood restuarants
and wide promanade.
The course begins Tuesday with camera set up and a chance to meet the group. After lunch you will shoot some pictures and in the evening your are free to relax and dine at one of the local restuarants.
During the week you will explore the harbour, quaint streets and shoreline of La Rochelle and learn about lighting, perspective and choosing the subject - including black & white imagery. In the afternoons you can learn about digital image storage, outputting to print and manipulation of the image with Adobe Photoshop and Elements. In the evenings you are free to relax and sample all the best that France has to offer in fine food and wines in a relaxed and tranquile setting.
On Wednesday we will also visit the Ile de Re, connected to the city by 2.9km bridge. This island is finged with sandy beaches, lighthouses, salt marches and oyster beds. Life in the little ports revolves around the cultivation of oysters and mussels.
This course is aimed at those who want to take digital photographs at both beginner and advanced levels.
There is a maximum of four people per course. This means that Paul has time to spend with you to provide one to one tuition, allowing you plenty of time to ask questions and develop your skills both with the camera and the computer.
Images will be downloaded each day for you to review and you will also receive instruction on Photoshop. At the end of the week you will receive a 4.7 gb DVD of your images, for you to review and work with.
